Anton A van Niekerk

Anton van Niekerk lives in Stellenbosch, where he is professor in philosophy and director of the Centre for Applied Ethics at Stellenbosch University. He is the author, co-author or editor of seventeen books and more than two hundred scientific and popular articles. In 1995, he was awarded the Stals Prize for Philosophy by the South African Academy for Science and Art. He is also a member of the University’s Council, a frequent guest lecturer in other countries, and an ordained candidate for the ministry in the DRC.
